Fish at the beach
I took some Cub Scouts on a short hike to find animals to photograph. One boy was determined to photograph some fish and these are the fish we found.

H playing with Duplo
This is definitely an every-day sort of scene around here.
Success!
We usually don’t succeed in getting S to take naps, so we celebrate whatever form they take.
Another shot of S being silly.
This Sunday morning we went out to the lanai to take a shot of H dressed up in a 3-piece suit (his choice) but he was too wiggly to stay in the frame. Instead, I give you a shot of S, dressed in a blanket.
A smiley shot of S on the floor.
S has realized that I try to take a photo everyday and is requesting that I take photos of him more frequently–one reason not to continue Project 365 after I complete a full year. Anyway, here is a shot of S having fun, rolling on the floor.
Construction in our old neighborhood.
On one of our walks we decided to check on the progress of some construction in our old neighborhood. If you look closely, you can see the roof of our old apartment in the background.
A shot of S “fishing”
We visited the PCC again using our annual passes and this time S wanted to try fishing at the Tahitian village. He’s actually got a pole with a little bit of bread on it for bait, but his technique looks a little more like spear fishing to me.

S and H on a horse at Kualoa Ranch
A neighbor had informed us that Kualoa Ranch had a free petting zoo so we stopped on the way to town to let the boys pet the animals. When we got there we found two tortoises and some feral chickens. It was kind of a bust, but at least the boys got to “ride” this horse before we got back into the car.
H enjoying the pool.
Another hot Hawaiian summer day at the pool.
S as Batman
Batman is a frequent visitor to our home.
